The highlights of 2016 in brief

Campus cities are vibrant cities

Held on 18 February, SYK’s Win Peaks seminar focused on spatial efficiency, cooperation with the business sector and content synergies as a recipe for shared success for universities and cities. The goal of the seminar was to inspire influencers to engage in cooperation.

The key is creating dynamic hubs of research, education, business and services. One practical example of using integration to create something new is found in Lappeenranta, where Lappeenranta University of Technology and Saimaa University of Applied Sciences have operated on the same campus since 2011.
